Descend into the depths of Kungsklippan and explore the archive storages. Hear stories of times past, the lives that left their mark and feel history come alive in the corridors. Guided tours, lectures, archive unboxing and much more await this evening when the City Archive welcomes you.

Programme activities

18:00 - 00:00 — Caught on camera – take your own mugshot

Photograph a mugshot of yourself and see if you fit in among 11,000 other old mugshots.

18:15 - 22:00 — Guided tours of the storage facilities

Descend into Kungsklippan and immerse yourself in decades of Stockholm’s history.

18:30 - 19:00 — Stockholms Jazzarkiv live

The trio Stockholms Jazzarkiv presents a jazz performance in the grand hall, Arkivarien.

19:00 - 19:30 — Kvinnan i manfolkskläder – short lecture

This specific event is not affected by the Swedish Police Authority's bag ban.

The guided tours have limited capacity, ticket is required. Get your ticket by the reading room counter at 18:00 during Culture Night. Bags are prohibited in the guided tours of the storages. Free lockable lockers available on the entrance floor.
