Klezmer is party music with roots in Eastern Europe, Jewish culture with rich traditions. The music came to the US in the beginning of the 20th century, was influenced by jazz, rock… Inspired by the US revival of klezmer in the 70s, klezmer bands started out all over Europe and Sweden.

19:00 - 20:00 — Consert Den Flygande Bokrullen

Bokrullen has played for more than 30 years, is one of the leading klezmer bands in Sweden

20:00 - 21:00 — Livemusic for dancing with Den Flygande Bokrullen

Dance to live music with inspiration from Heléne Don Lind

21:00 - 00:00 — Klezmer disco with Magne Pettersson and friends

Free dance to klezmer with some inspiration by Heléne and short breaks for live music.

21:30 - 21:45 — Dragspel & bas - Heléne Don Lind and Martin Kreuger

Heléne and Martin play klezmer, Jewish and Swedish songs, some where you can sing along.

Additional information

Doors open 17:30. During the Klezmer party Folkets Hus serve wine, beer etc.
