About accessibility
All venues participating in Stockholm Culture Night are given the option to communicate the accessibility of their venue. Each venue is responsible for making sure that they live up to their stated accessibility status. If you have further questions about the accessibility of a venue, please contact that venue directly.
Accessibility for hearing-impaired
At least one of the following exists at the venue:
- AFILS
- Microphone
- Mobile hearing equipment
- Sign language interpreter
Accessibility for vision-impaired
Both these criteria are met:
- Guide dog is allowed
- Visual markings on stairs, vertical gaps etc.
At least two of the following criteria are met (only necessary if the venue consists of multiple rooms):
- Explanatory pictogram.
- Text with high contrast.
- Tactile text.
- Signs at eye level.
- Large text that can be read from afar.
Accessible parking
There is a parking spot for mobility-impaired within 25 meters of the entrance.
Accessibility for wheelchairs
All of these criteria are met by the venue:
Entrance
- No steps or steep inclination.
- The door is at ground level or has a ramp.
- The doorway is at least 84 cm.
Door opener
- Door opener at least 80 cm above the floor and at least 70 cm from the door.
- Maximum 25 cm threshold.
Indoors
- Reception, toilet and potential elevator can be reached without needing to pass a step.
Toilet
- The size of the room is at least 220×220 cm.
- The space on both sides of the seat is at least 90 cm.
- Armrests at both sides of the toilet seat.
Elevator (only necessary if there are several floors at the venue)
- The cage is at least 110×140 cm.
- The elevator has automatic doors.
